Movers and Shakers

After a one year leave from practicing Athletic Therapy to spend time with her newborn daughter, Charlotte (born July 2nd, 2012), Tara Gilliland-Smith, CAT(C) has accepted the position as Head Athletic Therapist with the first Canadian Central Hockey League Franchise, The Brampton Beast. The Central League is an "AA" professional hockey league which has been running for over 20 years. The Brampton Beast is the AA affiliate of the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Syracuse Crunch.

Congratulations to Chris Mikolajek, CAT(C), ATC who recently become ATC certified. He has also taken on the role as the new Head Athletic Therapist for the Salmon Arm Silverbacks. The Silverbacks are a Jr. A hockey team in the BCHL. He has also been selected to help out with the Roar of the Rings event in Winnipeg Manitoba which is the Olympic trials for curling.
