Educational experiences

I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Regina receiving a Bachelor degree in Physical Activity Studies. In 2001, I completed the Advance Certificate in Athletic Therapy at Mount Royal College in Calgary. In 2007, I graduated with a Master’s in Science Physiotherapy degree from McMaster University.

Place of employment

I am co-owner of Stapleford Physiotherapy and Rehab Center in Regina and Weyburn Physical Therapy in Weyburn, SK. I treat a full orthopedic case load in Regina as well as having management roles in both locations.

Board experience and current mandates

I joined the CATA Board of Directors in October 2011 to fill a vacancy. Following the adoption of our new By-Law in Quebec, I was acclaimed to a one-year term as Saskatchewan Director as part of the transition plan. In my role, my mandate includes being the association Secretary and being the holder of association documents. My term on the Board is ending this coming May and I am not returning to the position. I would like to thank my fellow Saskatchewan regional members who entrusted me with this role over the past year. I would also like to thank my fellow board members, committee chairs and committee members for making this experience an enjoyable one.

Current and previous committee experience

Prior to joining the CATA Board of Directors I began volunteering with the association in 2005 as a member of the Marketing Sponsorship and Insurance Committee. I served on that committee as a member and then eventually the chairperson until May 2011. Throughout my time on that committee and with my time on the Board of Directors I have had the pleasure of working alongside many amazing people who are passionate about volunteering for our Association.

Personal information

In addition to volunteering with the CATA, I serve as the SATA representative on the Saskatchewan Sport Medicine and Science Council Board of Directors. For a number of years I have been the Head Athletic Therapist of the Regina Thunder Football Club of the Canadian Junior Football League. In my spare time I like to stay physically active, this past winter I took up skate skiing. Go Riders!!!
